Walking (or Running) for a Good Cause

The fall weather is here and that makes running or walking (I'm strictly a walker if you don't know) much more comfortable.  Want to run or walk AND support a great cause at the same time?  You are in luck.  Knoxville has many 5K run/walks in the next few weeks that support great causes.  Here are just a few you can choose from:

Sept 29th - VMC 5K Race and Fun Walk to support the Volunteer Ministry Center

October 7th - Join the American Cancer Society in Making Strides Against Breast Cancer.

October 13th - BigKnoxVenture Race to support Big Brothers Big Sisters East Tennessee.  Read more about this One of A Kind Adventure That is For Everyone!

October 27th - Komen Knoxville Race for the Cure.  Check out my recap from last's year Race for the Cure.

That's one a weekend from now until the end of October, with a weekend off for the UT-Alabama game.

Looking for other races?  Make sure to check out the Knoxville Track Club site.  The KTC lists most every area race for runners, walkers, cyclists, tri-athletes, etc.  They are a great resource.

With race season ramping up, I will be doing more recaps over on my blog, LetsTalkAndWalk.com.  Be sure and join me!

Enjoy this amazing fall weather!
