Victim identified in fatal 3-vehicle wreck on Rutledge Pike

(WBIR) One person died Sunday morning after a wreck involving a motorcycle and two cars in East Knox County.

According to a preliminary report from the Tennessee Highway Patrol, a minivan tried to cross Rutledge Pike at Hidden Valley Road near Corryton when it crashed into a motorcycle.

The collision sent the motorcycle into another car waiting at the intersection.

THP identified the motorcycle rider as Paul D Jones, 59, of Bean Station. He passed away after the crash.

The two other people involved in the crash were not hurt.

The THP report shows the driver of the mini van was cited with failure to yield.
