Kids help offer ideas for new Knoxville playground

(WBIR) Some of East Tennessee's youngest designers are getting a chance to share their thoughts on the future of a new playground.

The Muse hosted a design day on Wednesday for the new playground coming to Chilhowee park. Kids could stop by and give their own blueprints for success.

Later this year 250 volunteers will make their vision a reality when they build the playground in a single day. One organizer said the design day offered a unique opportunity for the children.

"A really fun part of the whole process is the kids get to provide their input as to how they want their dream playground to look. and actual designs from today will be incorporated into the playground," Ellie Kittrell, The Muse Executive Director, said.

The group will build that Play ground on November 14th.
