Knox County officers bring Christmas cheer to families

(WBIR - Knox County) Officers from the Knoxville Police Department and Knox County Sheriff's Office spread a little Christmas cheer Thursday night.

The Fraternal Order of Police hosted its annual "Shop with a Cop" event. Officers were given $100 to help pick out and buy presents for 360 children from families in need.

The event is personal for many of the officers; each family who goes on the shopping spree is nominated by the officers and deputies themselves.
